NEWBORN SESSIONS

Why should I book a newborn session?
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. Capturing these first few days of life is one of the greatest gifts you can give your baby.

When should I schedule my newborn session?
We encourage you to book your newborn session at least 4-6 weeks prior to the baby being due. We will place your due date on our calendar. Once the baby is born, have yourself or someone from the family contact us within 24 hours and we can schedule your newborn session.

When are newborns best photographed?
Newborn sessions should be scheduled within the first 14 days of life, with the best time being 5-7 days after birth. Newborns are most sleepy and cuddly during this time frame. It also allows us to pose, curl and handle them accordingly.

Where does the session take place?
Newborn sessions are usually held at your home for both comfort and convenience. We ask that you keep open all the blinds and curtains allowing us to find the best source of natural light. We also recommend the heat be kept up around 80-85 degrees.
If the weather is warm enough and you are comfortable with moving the shoot outside we would love the idea of surrounding your baby with nature.

How long will our session last?
Plan on your newborn session lasting two hours.

Do you bring props?
We have a huge collection of backgrounds and props. Everything from baskets, hammocks, blankets, hats, headbands, etc. All clothing, wraps, etc. are washed in dye free detergents after each use. We also suggest adding your personal touch as well. Family heirlooms and special treasures, etc.

Are parents and siblings allowed in the shoot?
Absolutely! We strongly encourage parents and siblings to be a part of the shoot. A reminder, solid color clothing works best.

What is the cost and when will I receive the photos?
A newborn session is $250 and you will receive your edited photos (approximately 100-150) via a dropbox link 5-7 days after your shoot. Add $100 to include a Custom Walnut USB Flash Drive & Box for USB. Includes password protected online gallery to view, share, and order albums, prints, canvases, metals, etc.
